Jay has a broad and diverse set of skills and experiences in and out of professional ministry. Outside of pastoral ministry, he has worked as a consultant, a bureaucrat, a teacher, a missionary, a graphic designer, an illustrator, a web developer, an innkeeper, and an entrepreneur. He is waiting for the stray bit of cosmic radiation to come along so he can add “superhero” to the list.

He is married to Jill, who also has an extensive experience in Christian ministry and is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity at Union Presbyterian Seminary. Their family includes four adult children, Maeve (married to Liam), Katherine (married to Emma), Hilde, and Sam.
